All righty folks, so you’ve read about the personal November Wellness Challenge I’ve given myself. I’ve invited my readers to join in, and I have heard from a few of you that you are indeed, joining in.
And you know, I really appreciate those people letting me know! It means so much (probably more than it should) when people comment and leave thoughts on this here blog.
I have decided to BRIBE motivate my readers in this challenge. I’m giving away a digital $25 Amazon.com gift card at the end of November…yeah, that’s right! It’ll be a great supplement for your Christmas shopping.
So…here’s the deal. I’ve got my November Wellness Challenge going on, with THREE major components to it, and I want you to do it too:
PHYSICAL -
I am doing the Jump Up and Drink Up Challenge, but you can set any physical wellness goal you want to. Some ideas:
- Get in 30 minutes of exercise a day.
- Eat 5 servings of fruits/vegetables a day.
- Spend 5 minutes stretching every day.
- Or anything else you may want to do.
HOME -
I’m working on de-cluttering my home this month. Again, you can set whatever home wellness goal you want to. Ideas:
- Get rid of 50 things this month.
- Create and use a cleaning system.
- Get your kids involved in helping to clean.
- Work on that big project you’ve been putting off.
FINANCIAL -
This is my simplest challenge. I’m just tracking everything I spend. You could also:
- Spend only cash on groceries this month.
- Set aside $$$ for emergencies.
- Start saving up for something you want.
- Create and follow a budget.
Sooo…do I have your attention yet?
For your chance to win a $25 Amazon.com gift card to help supplement your holiday shopping, you can join the challenge. There’s nothing official for you to “sign”, simply leave a comment below and let me know you’re in, and then continue to check in letting me know how it’s going! You can get an entry EVERY SINGLE DAY for the rest of the month, simply by checking in!
Now…let’s get healthy and happy…., and good luck.:-)

I struggled with not buying too much on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I ended up buying a few things I didn’t really need and can’t use, so I will donate them. I did do a little better than I did last year!

I’ve been working on decluttering. We moved last year and had more stuff than we knew what to do with. We’re down to two tubs in the storage room and two in our closet. I’m going to work on going through that too.

I use the library a lot. It has books, movies and music. I don;t think enough people take advantage of it. Also my library has electronic books, I haven’t tried it yet but I plan it. The best part is it doesn’t cost anything. I have been renovating my apartment, organizing, decluttering. I really think the more stuff you own the more that stuff ends up owning you. I am traveling at the end of January and I am at a little under 220 lbs. I and I am going to bust tail to safely “Yes Safely” drop 30 lbs before I leave. Proper diet, cardio 1 hour everyday followed by weight training 1 hour everyday. I think that people over look weight training in general as a powerful tool in battling the bulge. I don’t train like a weight lifter. I don’t life one day on one day off. I will lift everyday and I don’t lift heavy. The results can’t be argued really. I’d like hope to win an exercise bike that is small someday. I hope if you set a goal yourself that you follow through with it. Best of luck to everybody.

I got divorced at age 22, and was left without a home; with nothing. I lived back and forth between a few different homes-stayed with my parents for a while, a cousin, my best friend. I started working 60 hours a week between two jobs to save money and pay off some debts, and to raise my credit score a little. I am proud to say that my success was finally being able to afford to move into my own apartment this past August. I am 25 now and still working two jobs in addition to going to school- I’m about to enter my final semester in January- and although life is still a struggle, I couldn’t be more proud of myself for turning my life around and overcoming some very difficult times.

I have been consistantly saving for my “mad money” for when we go on vacation in April. I only pay in bills (no change) and keep whatever change I get in my change jar – even if the total is $2.01, I don’t give the penny – I’ll give $3 and put the .99 in the jar………………………it really adds up – last year, I saved up $538 just in change – I do this just for my vacation money, but it could easily be started the beginning of the year and by the time Christmas rolled around, you’d have quite a bit saved up for gifts too!

Hmmm, well I have several challenges to many to name at the moment. But I just live day by day so I don’t feel overwhelmed. I do make a lot of lists to. Of projects that need doing in the long run around the house, life goals, daily goals those usually go into my planner. Its not hard to feel overwhelmed. Weight wise trying to loose it so being more active means less time to snack, less money means less money to spend on snacks, and water is a lot cheaper and easier than the tons of sugary drinks. So at least i think i’m making some headway with that.
